Upcoming 12/26/25 to 12/30/25
A game jam/hackathon where coders, artists, and musicians can design games together in teams of up to 4 people.
Participants will create games centered around a theme, which will be announced at the start of the jam.
MelonJam is open to participants of all skill levels, so don't worry if you don't have much experience! Joining a game
jam is one of the best ways to improve at game development! You'll get the opportunity to work in a team and get
feedback for your game.
We'll be giving out various software, cash, and subscription prizes (totaling over $15K 👀).

May 2025 Game Showcase
5/28/25
GDC's annual game showcase, where members presented their second semester game projects. This year's showcase featured 7
amazing projects across genres, from an origami arcade game to a wizard roguelike with sentient cutlery and a fighting
simulator. We also had tons of food, including chips, mint oreos, and ramen! Members had fun playing the games, and we
held a prize ceremony for the showcase winners.

This was GDC's first showcase after remote learning. After members showed off the games that they have been working on for the past several months, we held an award ceremony hosted by none other than Max Liu, who awarded prizes to the best game developers.
Clubs Fair 2021

In Cupertino High School's annual Clubs Fair, GDC attracted a variety of new members and revealed the details of the club to the rest of the school.
Guest Speaker & McLeod Rap

For the final GDC meeting of the 2020-2021 school year, we ended the year with a bang by hosting Jacob Mott, a guest speaker from Pysonix (developer of Rocket League) and Mr. McLeod, who dropped a few bars to finish off the year.
April 2021 Game Showcase

GDC's first and only game showcase of the 2020-2021 school year! This was our first online showcase, where we displayed the games that various GDC Teams and officers have been working on.
ML Agents Workshop
3/30/21
The first ML Agents Workshop of many! This is the first time GDC has taught Machine Learning to members. By the end of the Unity ML Agents unit, members successfully created a rocket landing simulation, that accurately lands a rocket with an ideal landing force and velocity.
AI Camp Session

Stanford PhD and co-founder of AI Camp, Dr. Michael Ke Zhang visited GDC to hold a discussion about AI/ML and its possibilites.

Pioneer Day 2019

Pioneer Day, Cupertino High School's orientation for incoming freshman, serves as an oppurtunity for clubs to advertise themselves and enlist potential members for the upcoming school year. GDC's booth attracted a multitude of future members by demoing the best games of our officers and members.
